The Usos have been missing in action from WWE programming for close to five months at this point, as the highly successful tag-team duo hasn’t made an appearance since Summerslam.
Jimmy Uso was arrested for DUI, a few days before the biggest show of the summer, and that led to the duo missing the PPV, followed by several months of in-ring action. Jimmy was cleared of all charges last week, which has prompted WWE to plan their much-awaited return to the ring.
According to WrestleVotes, WWE is planning to bring them back to WWE TV pretty soon, and the creative has been instructed to plan out new stories for the Samoan twins. The duo was on RAW before they went on a hiatus, and the report says they should be returning on RAW, but the plans could change.
The Usos have won the Tag-Team Championships on multiple occasions and have participated in some of the most iconic battles with the New Day in the last few years. The duo has carried the division on their backs for the whole decade, and are in running for the tag of the best team in recent memory.
The Usos returning to either of the division will be a massive shot in the arm, as the current Tag-Team Division of both the shows is highly stagnant and needs tremendous improvement. SmackDown currently has only three legitimate teams, while RAW is struggling to give proper feuds to Viking Raiders.
The return of AOP last month on RAW could signal a move to SmackDown for the Usos, who could join their cousin Roman Reigns in his battle against King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler. The Bloodline could reunite on the blue brand, giving a new direction for the Corbin-Reigns rivalry while boosting the tag-team division.
