WWE has reportedly signed yet another free-agent to their roster.
Fightful Select is reporting that Christian Casanova has signed a deal with WWE. Casanova is said to be part of an upcoming Performance Center Class.
Casanova has a seven-year career as a professional wrestler, mostly based in productions and shows that operated in the northeast part of the US.
Casanova has wrestled for Beyond Wrestling, GCW, and Evolve. He is also the current Limitless Wrestling Champion.
Neither Casanova nor WWE has officially commented on the reported signing.
According to the reports, WWE has resumed signing wrestlers to developmental deals and recruiting talent for Performance Center classes, though the classes are expected to be smaller than they were in the past.
Some people find the news that WWE is still looking to sign new talent as rather surprising, given as the company is supposedly cost-cutting due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
One of the most notorious examples of these alleged “cutbacks” is the mass release of WWE talent, including long time wrestlers and developmental trainees, producers, and other employees back in April 2020.
There was also the recent release of both Steve Culter and Lars Sullivan, though these were allegedly because of behavioral issues.
