SummerSlam is now just a month away and while many fans believe that the company has many of their storylines planned out well in advance, recent reports suggest that The Biggest Party of the Summer could be subject to change in the coming weeks.

Extreme Rules this weekend is the final pay-per-view stop on the road to SummerSlam but according to an update from WrestleVotes, Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff are expected to take over their roles as executive directors on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live this coming week, which could affect the card for SummerSlam.

Of course, there are many feuds that will go from Extreme Rules up until SummerSlam since the company needs to plant seeds in order to sell tickets for what is considered to be one of their biggest shows of the year.

Heyman has already been helping Vince McMahon to control Raw over the past few weeks and the improvements have been noted, but the WWE Universe is yet to see what kind of impact Eric Bischoff will have when he finally takes the reins next week.

SummerSlam is merely weeks before AEW’s next big event called All Out so the company will be wanting to pull out all the stops to ensure that this time SummerSlam is the event that gains more ticket sales than All Elite’s event.

Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff won’t have full control of their respective brands, Vince McMahon will still be ensuring that things run smoothly but this new update shows that McMahon is happy to change some plans heading into SummerSlam if Bischoff and Heyman have better ideas.

At the very least, this confirms that The Chairman will be open to changing his ideas if the Raw and SmackDown directors decide that they want to make changes.
