WWE moved Apollo Crews over to RAW and put a spotlight on him post-WrestleMania 36. Crews earned a spot in the 2020 men’s Money In The Bank ladder match but his kayfabe injury quickly threw him off of the PPV card. It appears that WWE is brewing something big for Crews.
WrestlingNews.co reports that Vince McMahon’s current plan is to turn Crews heel on RAW. The 32-year-old Superstar was supposed to turn heel prior to ‘Mania but Mr. McMahon made the decision to move him back to the red brand.
“They are turning him. He was going to turn on [Chad] Gable before Vince decided to move him back to RAW.”
As for Shorty G (Chad Gable), rumors suggest that he could be involved in the SmackDown hacker angle alongside Mustafa Ali.
This past week on Friday Night SmackDown, The Forgotten Sons earned themselves a shot at the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. Having defeated reigning champions The New Day, the NXT stable consisting of Wesley Blake, Steve Cutler, and Jaxson Ryker happens to be legitimate contenders.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Jimmy Uso’s unfortunate knee injury is the reason why WWE called up The Forgotten Sons on the blue brand. The faction was brought up to the main roster to replace The Usos in the tag team title storyline.
“The Jimmy Uso one is why the tag team program was changed a little bit and The Forgotten Sons were brought up.”
