Will Baron Corbin retire Kurt Angle at WrestleMania?

Baron Corbin is the man who cost Kurt Angle his job as General Manager of Monday Night Raw and has been a focal point of WWE TV over the past few months. The fact that Drew McIntyre could be set to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania now means that Corbin could be the one drafted in to face his old nemesis Kurt Angle.

The two men were originally supposed to face off against each other in the UK back in November, in what was originally thought to have been Angle’s final match, but instead Drew McIntyre did the honors and forced Angle to tap to his own Ankle Lock.

When it comes to a storyline heading into WrestleMania in just over three weeks time, the most obvious choice according to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, would be Corbin given his recent issues with the Olympic medalist.

While many believe that John Cena would be the perfect man to end Angle’s career since it was Angle who kick-started Cena’s, Meltzer believes that Corbin is the one who makes sense: “the storyline guy would be Baron Corbin,” he said via Ringsidenews.

Many WWE stars waiting to re-sign until their contracts are up?

There are a number of WWE stars who’s contracts are due to expire in the coming months and reports have confirmed that WWE is trying to re-sign many of these stars to multi-million dollar deals before they are able to leave, but many are turning them down.

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are the most recent stars who are reported to have turned down new deals with WWE, even though Anderson stated that fans shouldn’t believe everything they hear.

The Wrestling Observer recently speculated that one of the reasons for this could be because some stars want to see what options they have when their contract is up so that they can then re-sign if they need to. There are many companies out there who can offer lucrative deals now and some stars want to shop around.

“Everyone whose contract expires anytime this year is being given big money offers to sign for obvious reasons. Many have not signed because they are waiting to see the lay of the land when their deals are up,” he said via Ringsidenews.
