Dana Brooke was added to the Money in the Bank ladder match last week on Monday Night Raw when Alexa Bliss announced her as part of the field that also included Naomi, Bliss and Natalya.

Brooke was a shock addition to the match since she has been overlooked for most of her career but recently it appears that the company has been more than happy to give the former NXT star a push.

The Wrestling Observer noted that Dana Brooke was only given a place in the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match because of recent issues with Sasha Banks. The Boss was originally supposed to be part of the match and many believed that she would be the one lifting the briefcase since the company took away her Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania, but now she has been replaced by Brooke instead.

This means that it’s highly unlikely that Banks will be returning to WWE in the near future since it was reported that she was forced into a vacation following her actions at the biggest show of the year.

There is always the possibility that she could return and help Bayley to win the match since there is no disqualifications in a ladder match and the likes of Seth Rollins and Carmella have taken full advantage of this in recent years.

Brooke has proved that she’s stepped up her game and that she deserves this shot since there are a number of women like Mickie James and Lana who have been missed out of the match this year, so it will be interesting to see if Brooke is able to repay the company for this push by putting on a fantastic display as part of a match that has gained a negative reaction from the WWE Universe over the past few years.
