Lio Rush is a former 205 Live superstar and has been seen most recently alongside Bobby Lashley on Monday Night Raw as his Hype Man but this past week as part of the show, Lashley was on his own when he appeared on Miz TV and even did his talking for himself.

There have been reports over the past few weeks that state that Rush had a lot of issues backstage stemming from the fact that he allowed his wife to come backstage to a number of shows and then had an altercation with Finn Balor regarding the fact that Vince McMahon wouldn’t like an extra person who wasn’t part of the company being there for show rehearsals.

PWInsider recently reported that Lio Rush was one of the superstars who was offered a new deal that was believed to be worth $300,000. Rush turned down this deal and has told the company that he wants to be released.

“Rush’s claims are interesting, especially since WWE sources have claimed today that Rush was offered a new, five-year contract that was said to be in the $300 thousand range, but turned it down, instead, according to multiple sources, asking for double that number,” he said via Ringsidenews.

While stories of backstage heat in WWE surface all the time, there are many reports now from a number of sources that state the same thing about Rush which means that this point it’s likely that they are true.

It is unknown as to whether or not Rush has been removed from Monday Night Raw moving forward, since he didn’t appear this week and there was no mention of him as part of the segment with Lashley and Miz.

Rush could always head back to 205 Live where he first made a name for himself but given the recent news about Rush and the fact that he has requested his release from the company unofficially, it’s likely that his stay on Monday Night Raw could be a short one.
