Reason behind Dana Brooke’s promo on RAW
Ronda Rousey was confronted by none other than Dana Brooke this week on Monday Night RAW.
The RAW Women’s Champion was out in the ring, trashing the pro wrestling business and belittling the fans. She was suddenly interrupted by Brooke who then cut a highly remarkable and passionate promo while sharing the ring with the heel champ.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed the reason behind Brooke’s promo: WWE sent out the largely underutilized Superstar in an attempt to get fans behind her.
Soon after the segment, Brooke began trending on Twitter.
“Here’s the problem, it’s like if she was really good she would have a great complaint. If it was a Gable, like a woman Chad Gable, this is the woman that in fact, as many of you remember she was fast-tracked by this company to be a big star.”
“She was gonna have a feud with Charlotte to have at WrestleMania and she played her way out of it. I mean, that’s the reality. I guess you’re not supposed to know that. But, she was their favorite and you know, unfortunately, she couldn’t hang at the level and that’s what happened. I guess you know obviously for what you’re doing for TV and the storyline it’s fine. It’s just ironic, that’s all.”
Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 35?
Roman Reigns was about to wrestle his first singles match since his return this week on Monday Night RAW.
The match never happened as Drew McIntyre blindsided Reigns and brutalized him in front of the Pittsburgh crowd. The Big Dog sold his beatdown well; it was as real as it could get.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that the WWE Universe is now gearing up for Reigns vs. McIntyre at WrestleMania 35.
It’s extremely likely that their match at ‘Mania will be of a much bigger magnitude, for The Scottish Psychopath was originally slated to feud with The Big Dog for the Universal Championship before the latter relinquished the title and took a medical hiatus last October.
This could create confusion regarding Dean Ambrose‘s opponent for April 7. The Moral Compass was to reportedly collide with Reigns at WrestleMania in what would be his last match under his current WWE contract.
