Reigning RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is set to defend both her titles at the upcoming Money In The Bank pay-per-view on May 19.
Lynch will be competing twice at Money In The Bank – she will first defend the RAW Women’s Title against Lacey Evans and then the SmackDown Women’s Title against Charlotte Flair.
On Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that the idea is for Becky to drop one of the titles at the event without appearing weak.
“Lynch working twice on the show seems like a gimmick to feature her, and it allows her to drop a title while having an excuse of being injured in the first of two matches.”
If The Man first retains against The Lady, then The Queen could be already taking back the title she never lost at WrestleMania 35.
Again, Lynch might as well walk out of the XL Center as (still) Becky 2 Belts. However, she will have to look over her shoulder shall the Women’s Money In The Bank winner choose to cash in her contract on the same night.
