Time Limits Forced WWE To Nix Planned Ending
WrestleMania 35 saw WWE accidentally botch the main event finish between Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey, but not only was the finish of the match botched, but it appears that the company was forced to cut the broadcast short and were unable to continue the story between Lynch and Flair.
Flair wasn’t pinned to lose her SmackDown Women’s Championship and wasn’t even part of the finish so she would obviously have had some kind of reaction to the finish of the match, but this wasn’t shown on WWE TV.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the plan was for Charlotte to have some kind of reaction to the outcome but once again the company called an audible and decided to end the show with Lynch celebrating because seven hours and 15 minutes was a little long for a broadcast even of WrestleMania.
“The idea that the show would end with Lynch and Charlotte Flair having an issue since Flair lost her title to Lynch without being pinned didn’t transpire. Lynch won, and they ended the show and got out of there because it was so late,” via Ringsidenews.
Bayley Reportedly Just As Frustrated As Sasha Banks
Sasha Banks has been making the headlines over the past few days ever since it was made public that The Boss had threatened to quit WWE when she found out that she was losing her Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania.
Banks has since been given some time away from the company so that she can get her head straight and is expected to return to be part of the Superstar Shake-up next week.
According to Fightful Select’s recent Q&A, Banks isn’t the only person who was frustrated by the short title reign that Banks and Bayley were given since The Hugger is also not happy.
“I see them taking a chance elsewhere. Sasha was not happy. Bayley was very frustrated this weekend as well, not to the point where Sasha was. Sasha has been sold a bill of goods for a long time and they wasted both of these women’s 2018s,” via Ringsidenews.
