Sasha Banks attempted to quit WWE over WrestleMania 35 weekend after finding out that she and Bayley would be losing the Women’s Tag Team Championships to The IIconics at the event.
To cool things off, WWE sent The Boss on a vacation and is now expecting her back by May 19 as she is booked for the Money In The Bank pay-per-view.
According to Brad Shepard reports at Pro Sports Extra, WWE is planning a huge win for Banks at the May 19th PPV and there have already been “initial conversations about booking her to win the Money In The Bank Briefcase.”
With Becky Lynch currently holding the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championships and Lacey Evans already in the #1 Contender’s spot for the red title, Banks might as well challenge The Man for the blue belt.
At this point, there are speculations regarding which brand Banks will wrestle for on her return.
Bayley has been drafted to SmackDown Live as part of the 2019 Superstar Shake-Up and Banks going for the SmackDown Women’s Championship would be a great way of reuniting both women on the same brand.
Moreover, ever since her main roster debut, Sasha hasn’t ever been part of the blue brand which could be another reason why she could land on SmackDown Live following the footsteps of Roman Reigns, Finn Bálor, Elias and Bayley.
It was earlier reported that The Boss and The Hugger were scheduled for an epic match in Saudi Arabia as the tag team champs but that’s no longer possible. Furthermore, Bayley has already declared herself as a singles competitor during the Shake-Up and WWE is penning Banks as a singles wrestler as well.
Only time will reveal how WWE books Sasha on her return. However, with The Boss enjoying the entire spotlight, there is a chance for the creative to soon lose direction for Bayley unless the company decides to book both women in a title match down the line.
