It’s pretty much been confirmed now that the WrestleMania 35 main event will see Ronda Rousey defend her title against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. The issue is that there is still three more months until WrestleMania and a lot of storyline changes that need to happen before these three women meet in New Jersey.
Becky Lynch is currently set to face Asuka in the hopes that she can reclaim the Championship that she lost back at TLC in the first ever Women’s TLC match, but this might not be the only action Lynch is part of that night.
The WWE Universe were visably annoyed by the fact that Lynch would be in a Championship match rather than part of the Women’s Royal Rumble match, which could be why WWE is reportedly planning a huge swerve on the night that will include The Lasskicker.
According to a report by The Wrestling Observer, the plan could be for Becky Lynch to lose her match to Asuka before she’s later added to the Women’s Royal Rumble match as a surprise entrant.
This would then allow Lynch to go on and win the match, making her showdown with Ronda Rousey official, if the former UFC Champion is able to overcome the threat of Sasha Banks on the night.
It is thought that Charlotte could then be added to the match at a later date since there is still Elimination Chamber and Fastlane before WWE lands in New Jersey in April.
Either way, it looks as though it could be an interesting few months for the women of WWE that will culminate with Becky Lynch, Charlotte and Ronda Rousey making history on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
