WWE To Reportedly Introduce New Women’s Championship

WrestleMania 35 closed with Becky Lynch being crowned the new RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion after she beat Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in the highly-anticipated Winner Take All match.

Lynch carrying two titles on her shoulders raises the million-dollar question:

How will the two titles be defended simultaneously by a single Superstar?

While the answer is still unknown, it appears WWE has an interesting plan in works for the Women’s Division.

Per Brad Shepard, WWE has already crafted a new Women’s Title. The wording indicates a singular belt design which means that a unification of the current RAW and SmackDown Women’s Titles could be around the corner.

WWE’s current pay-per-view schedule reveals that the next event is in May which means the new Women’s Championship could debut later this month.

On RAW after WrestleMania, Becky briefly brawled with Lacey Evans on the aisle and stage. While it’s pretty clear that The Lady is The Man’s first challenger post-WrestleMania, it would be interesting to see which Superstar steps up to the Champ Champ this Tuesday on SmackDown Live.

Only time will reveal which woman is going to challenge Lynch for which title post-Superstar Shakeup and how The Man is going to defend them if both championships are to exist simultaneously post-May.
